CLOSING THE LOOP ON WASTE

The core purpose at reDirect Recycling is to create a circular economy by closing the loop on waste.

reDirect Recycling gives resources new life by reclaiming materials that would otherwise go to landfill, thereby reducing waste, and creating materials for beneficial reuse, preserving resources, promoting sustainability and conserving the environment for future generations.

Sustainability encompasses the way reDirect Recycling delivers on its business purpose and to secure a better future for all.  Sustainability policies reflect commitments to responsible business practices and promote ethical, environmental and social standards throughout the reDirect Recycling vertically integrated supply chain, including relationships with customers, contractors, consultants and suppliers.

The world’s resources are not limitless. A circular economy aims to keep resources in use for as long as possible, recovering and regenerating materials at the end of each lifetime. By embracing a circular economy, businesses can contribute to the sustainability of both our environment and the Australian economy. By reusing and recycling products you can keep materials in use for as long as possible, and you can actively contribute to making a circular economy a reality.

reDirect Recycling offers efficient and complete recovery management, creating an industrial ecology which digests the waste and returns resources back into the economy. reDirect Recycling conduct collection and processing of products to create a sustainable product life cycle in the construction and manufacturing industry, closing the loop a variety of commercial waste products. Commercial and industrial (C&I) waste makes up a third (20.4 million tonnes) of the total waste generated in Australia, with 58% of the waste being recycled1. By investing in infrastructure for the collection and processing of recycled material, reDirect Recycling effectively directs a considerable amount of industry waste away from Australian landfill sites.

Examples of how processing waste is creating an industrial ecology, includes the manufacturing of particleboard utilising clean recycled wood and offcuts into the production of new particleboard.  reDirect Recycling also collect metal and steel which has an inherent valuable quality, and processes Hydro Excavation and Horizontal Directional drill muds into products used for engineered fill, sand, and specialist soil and compost products which are sold on for using in the building, landscaping and agricultural industries.

When you opt for commercial waste disposal through reDirect Recycling, you are not only assisting in creating sustainable manufacturing processes by closing the loop on waste, but are also contributing towards the circular economy.
